Get Evaluated by a Top Voiceover Agent
It’s happening! Agent Tom Larson will be coaching and evaluating voice talent this Sunday. Tom will be working with voice talent, and producer Kevin Vandenberg will record all sessions.
Q: How long is it? How much does it cost? When does it happen?
A: You will be provided a 9-minute time slot some time between 10:00AM and 4:30PM this Sunday, June 23.
Session cost is $19 before Saturday, $35 afterwards, until they sell out. Due to Tom’s limited availability, longer sessions are NOT available.
Q: How do I sign up and reserve a session with Tom?
A: Click the button below. You MUST also email Sarah@schoolofvoiceover.com with your availability (see next question). Evaluation sessions with Tom are NOT included in the cost of a Voice Acting Expo ticket, and must be reserved separately.
Q: How do I choose my time slot?
A: Reply to this email with your available time range before 4:30pm this Sunday, June 23. Please do NOT provide specific times! Provide a RANGE of time, such as “Anytime before Noon” or “Noon-3” or “10-11 or 2-3”, etc. If you do NOT provide a time range, you will be refunded and placed on a waiting list.
Q: Can I meet Tom or another agent on another date?
A: There may be one or two days that this happens later in 2019. Or maybe not. Stay subscribed to our emails to learn more. We do not know of any agents in the U.S. that provide in-person evaluations through their agency, but some like Tom do coach and evaluate talent at events like the Voice Acting Expo.
Q: Is this an audition with Tom? Can Tom represent me if he wants to?
A: Tom CAN represent you for commercial voiceover if he wishes to, but do NOT come solely for that reason. If you have not trained or worked extensively in voiceover, you are very, VERY unlikely to receive representation. You will be coached, recorded and evaluated. In the past, the agents from Moore (Tom and Kate) have represented about 1 in 40 talent that they have met at Expos, but many of those talent had trained for months by the time they met Tom or Kate.
Q: What happens in the evaluation session?
A: Tom will give you COMMERCIAL scripts to perform on mic, and evaluate your voice and voiceover acting skills. Talent and producer Kevin Vandenberg will record you and Tom’s comments. You will receive a complete recording of your session with Tom later in the week.
Q: Is there other training available at the same time?
A: Yes! The Voice Acting Expo all-day training event is happening at the same time. Click here to sign up, or click here to learn more. You have to register separately if you want a session with Tom. Sessions with Tom are NOT included in the cost of a Voice Acting Expo ticket.
Q: Can Tom give me his opinion of a demo I have already made?
A: Not during your evaluation. Demos can be sent by email attachment to Tom and Kate (the two voiceover agents at Moore Creative) via voiceover@mooretalent.com. Their submission page is here. Moore does not promise to provide an evaluation of all submissions received.
Q: Where is the training center located?
A: It is at 5821 Cedar Lake Rd S, Rm 101, St. Louis Park, MN 55416-1486
Cedar Lake RD S is currently under construction and will be closed to the east of the training center. Please enter through Zarthan Ave. For additional information on construction projects, click here.
If you enter the address into your phone or GPS for directions, it needs to include “Road South“, e.g. 5821 Cedar Lake Rd South 55416. Google Maps doesn’t show this correctly unless you include “road south”. Areas for parking are marked in yellow.
